Daughters of Zion Ministries - ...equipping women to live out their God-given destinies
Thank you for your interest in DOZ
Daughters of Zion (DOZ) is non-profit organization that provides
professional development, parenting education and general life skills for
women in Santa Clara County. Since 2001 DOZ has been meeting the needs of
women with children in a safe, supportive and structured
environment that encourages self-sustainability and personal growth for
the benefit of women, children, and the community at large.

DREAM PROJECT
DOZ Dream Project provides mothers with housing, life skills, and parenting enrichment classes.  Over the course of 12 to 18 months women also work with  mentors and coaches who provide them with instruction in budgeting and debt reduction, conflict resolution, job and education placement as well as interpersonal relationship skills. When requested, mothers are provided with essential everyday items for
themselves and their children including backpacks, school supplies,
personal household and hygiene products, transportation services and
holiday toys and food boxes.

Not all of DOZ Dream Project clients are housed in our 3 bedroom condominiums. Those
who are are responsible for paying one-third of monthly rental costs and
are required to be employed either part-time as well as enrolled in an academic or
job training program. Care for children is provided  by professionally licensed care-givers.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS
DOZ works diligently to maintain and grow our network of community
partners that can further enrich and improve the programs and services we
provide for clients and their children. We receive referrals from many
local organizations that recognize the many benefits to our program model
and our favorable outcomes. In turn we often refer our clients and their
friends and family members to non-profit organizations that specialize in
providing long-term services in the areas of mental health and substance
abuse counseling, permanent housing and financial services.

Additionally we work with numerous employment partners that can place our
clients with opportunities they may not otherwise have. Those employer
partners include but are not limited to:
White House Black Market, Braid It Up Hair Salon, Urban Oasis Academy of Beauty, Rejoyce in a Clean House Keeping, House of Soul Food, JAWS Transportation, Nita Bee's Specialty Bakery and More, and the Logan Group Staffing and Consulting.
